For the better part of the past two years, I have immersed myself in the material worlds of the Scythians after reading Barry Cunliffe’s The Scythians: Nomad Warriors of the Steppe. This lead me down a research rabbit hole where I began to gobble up every book, article, and reference work I could get my hands on. This total obsessive immersion lead me to construct a caftan centered around this research regarding the material lives of these enigmatic iron age warriors and nomads.
